This tour is a guide to the area around Nagasaki Peace Park. Local youth engaged in peace activities will guide the tour, sharing their own thoughts and feelings as well. Participants will learn about life before the atomic bombing, characteristics of the damage caused, and the current state of Nagasaki as a peace center. The tour will not be a one-way presentation by the guides, but will enable participants to spend time in dialogue to explore questions and ideas that could only be encountered in the area.

Features of the Program

  • Encounter memorable moments and profound questions unique to the local community.

  • Meet youth peace activists in Nagasaki who will guide you through the program.

  • Focus on dialogue for active participation.
